CLIP DOWN RIG

Clip down rig is very similar to the Flapper rig but is more effective for longer ranges, with the baits clipped down it give a better aerodynamic profile and greatly reduces the risk of seeing you baits dispersed to the 4 winds

The Trace should be made from 50lb to 70lb mono

The Snood should be 25lb to 35lb,

I use these rigs with 2/0 fine wire hooks for Codling and Whiting

In summer I use 30lb to 35lb Trace with 8lb to 15lb snoods.

to complement this line I use size 8 to 1 fine wire long shank hooks.
