UP AND OVER RIG

The up and over rig is a variation on the Clip down rig, this rig give you a long flowing rig close to the bottom. This rig is best fished over clean sand or mud.

The Trace should be made from 50lb to 70lb mono

The Snood should be 25lb to 35lb,

I use these rigs with 2/0 fine wire hooks for Codling and Whiting

 

In summer I use 30lb to 35lb Trace with 8lb to 15lb snoods.

to complement this line I use size 8 to 1 fine wire long shank hooks.

This rig works very well with a wishbone setup for Flatties.
